Laura Rush

Laura Rush has had a lifelong love of music and started her musical education in childhood, when she studied piano. Piano was quickly followed by violin in middle and high school, and then by voice and guitar as an adult. She has a background in musical theatre and performed with a professional touring children's theatre group in the Metro DC area for many years. After leaving music and theatre to pursue a career in administration and journalism, she came full circle back to music when she enrolled her infant daughter in Music Together classes. She enjoyed the classes so much that she decided to take the Music Together training in 2013 to share the joy she finds in music with other children and their parents.

Laura has a BA in English from George Mason University and an MA in Interactive Journalism from American University. She is also an avid photographer and enjoys biking, traveling, and, of course, singing with her young daughter.
